The simple styling of the OCTA tree grate adds a geometric accent to outdoor spaces. The fourpiece square tree grate is cast iron and available in two sizes to meet various scale requirements. Two removable plugs are included to accommodate watering. Two-piece hot-dip galvanized steel installation frame for level mounting of tree grate is included. All hardware is stainless steel. Complementary tree guards are available for comprehensive tree protection. Optional models accommodate one or two inground luminaires for accenting with uplight. Standard finish is graphite black.

CONSTRUCTION
Four-piece tree grate is cast from grey iron exceeding ASTM A48 Class 35B (EN GJL 250). After casting, the parts are sandblasted with stainless steel beads. Edges are deburred and sanded for uniform quality free of surface defects, providing adhesion for the application of paint. Two watering holes with removable plugs are included in the grate. Tree grate shall have a recycled content of 100% and is 100% recyclable.
FRAME
Two piece mounting frame is fabricated from steel consisting of 1.575" square tubing with nominal wall thickness of 0.118" welded to 2.75" wide bar stock with nominal thickness of 0.236". The two frame sections align true to each other when assembled through guide pins welded to each of the frame sections and bolted together with M10x35 stainless steel socket head cap bolts. Mounting frame installs onto concrete foundation provided by others and is secured to the foundation in six places with hardware provided by others. Steel frame is hot-dip galvanized for superior corrosion protection. Recycled content of mounting frame is 44% and is 100% recyclable.
FINISH
Two component zinc-rich primer is applied to the castings to enhance corrosion protection prior to coating. The castings are then immersed into a hydro-dip paint to a thickness of 50 mils. Standard finish is graphite black finish (RAL9011).
OPTION
Standard model does not include inground luminaires. Optional models include provisions for one or two inground luminaires for uplighting and accenting. See RAVENNA inground luminaire for technical specifications.
