HessAmerica Takes Top Design Honors at Light Fair 2005
New products win awards for excellence in design
HessAmerica won three awards in the "New Product Showcase" at the Light Fair International trade show April 12-14 in New York City. The company won the awards for two new products, the MILLENNIO and SERA.
MILLENNIO won two awards, the "Best of Category for Exterior Luminaires, Landscape and Fountain Lighting," and the "Design Excellence Award." The "Design Excellence Award" is the top product design award presented at the event. MILLENNIO, designed by Karsten Winkels, utilizes innovative LED technology and was created to co-exist unobtrusively with people and the environment. Its design is consistent with the minimalist principles of LED technology. A sleekly-styled extruded aluminum housing produces a simple silhouette ideal for parks or public walkways.
SERA won the "Best of Category for Exterior Luminaires, Site and Roadway Lighting." SERA creates a new aesthetic in lighting, featuring signature Hess styling - simple, yet elegant. The housing is constructed of die-cast aluminum and includes a flat glass lens. Luminaire maintenance is simple and tool-less because of a quick release mechanism integrated into the fixture body. The sealed optical system, designed by "Lichtstudio Bartenbach," produces full cut off distribution. The SERA fixture styling was conceived by Jean Marc Schneider.
